Examples of Terms: Group 3

SLAPSTICK: Ace Ventura: Pet detective is a great example of slap-stick humor. Jim Carrey uses his faces and noises to create humor throughout the entire movie.

PUN: The cartoon shown above is a good example of a pun, or a "play on words"

COMEDY: The show South Park is an example of comedy. It's very humorous and the material it shows is very entertaining.

IRONY: An example of irony would be this story about a man named Noel Coward when he came to America.

"I love your sense of irony, say something ironic," the woman said.

Coward smiled and said, "I'm delighted to meet you."

This is ironic because Coward isn't truly delighted to meet her, it's ironic because he isn't.

Hii, I'm Taylor Benassi and I'm a senior at Anderson High School. I'm going to attend Ohio University next fall, and I'm majoring in business and spanish. I'm a cheerleader and I have been for 5 years. I have two younger sisters named Kendall and Cameron, and we're pretty close. I also have two cats named Shadow and Smokey and they're super cute. Some of my favorite things to do are eat, watch television and hang out with my friends. I listen to a lot of music, it's a big part of my life. My fave band is Dave Matthews Band, but I love going to concerts of any kind. I'm up for almost anything and that's pretty much it!
